The Original religious beliefs of the Wappos are unknown.
The Wappo villages normally had one or two sweat lodges.
The sweat lodges were steam baths used by then men for ceremonies.
Sweat lodges
were also gathering places for talking and praying.
the Wappo prayed to two main deities they were Coyote and Kuksu Wappos also considered the owl and the hawk as sacred.
prayers were mostly happened at night or before any serous endeavor.
